I have long been a fan of National Novel Writing Month, also known as Nanowrimo. The yearly challenge to write 50,000 words of a novel in the month of November is delightfully chaotic, with a whole community of people coming together to write with abandon and without fear. The first draft of my newly published novel, The Traveling Triple-C Incorporeal Circus, was written during Nanowrimo in 2014 in a mad rush, and I am so glad for the boost of support and productivity that I had during that time.
That is why I am going to give this year another proper shot. I have made some attempts at a proper Nano in the last few years, but the timing has never been quite right. This time around I want to see what I can do and if I can give this mad rush another shot. If you want to be buddies on the Nanowrimo website, you can find me as “straydog733”.
Happy Writing!
