It was a great busy weekend over here, and I have left it with a couple different pieces of news.
First off, I would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who helped out with my table-read of my script “All Those Stars Are Airplanes” at the PlayGround PlaySpace. I felt great about how the reading went and I have a lot of great edits and feedback to take back to the workshop. I am currently working on the first draft of my June Anne Baker Award commissioned play, but “Airplanes” will be getting its second draft soon.
Secondly and in slightly stranger news, I have just been hired as an actor for The Dinner Detective!
At The Dinner Detective, you’ll tackle a hilarious and challenging crime while you feast on a fantastic dinner. Just beware! The culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a Prime Suspect before you know it!
So very soon, you will be able to book an evening of theater, crime and drama and I might be in the crowd, lurking and ready to strike.
It has been a while since I have acted and while writing has long been my main creative output, there is something about the energy of being on stage that I can never really pass up. So I look forward to this and cannot wait to hit the ground running. (Though I will still be at my main circus job during the week.)
