It has been very sad to hear that the Octopus Literary Salon, an adorable venue in Oakland, will be unexpectedly closing its doors on August 31st. I have not been able to attend their events as often as I would have like, but it is always sad to see good organizations depart.

I will be attending the Rocktopus Open Mic tomorrow night, Monday the 19th, and reading a selection from The Traveling Triple-C Incorporeal Circus.Everyone should find a chance to give Octopus a great send-off in its final weeks, and hear some great artists perform!
