I am trying to make a last minute call to bring a show together for this upcoming weekend, Friday and Saturday, 7/26 and 27.
My ten-minute play “Hiiiii”, originally seen in a staged reading at PlayGround SF in November, is supposed to be performed in Round 6 of the Short Lived competition at Piano Fight. HOWEVER, I have just heard the unfortunate news that my director and most of my actors for the weekend have become unavailable. So I am appealing to you, my Bay Area community: would anyone like to compete in a ten-minute play contest this weekend? We would be in the running for the end total $5,000 prize awarded to the winning show of Short Lived.
If you are at all interested, please text the Artistic Director at Piano Fight, Rob Ready, at (917) 363-9646 TONIGHT. This is a Hail Mary to see if we can get the show together, otherwise it will unfortunately have to be withdrawn from Short Lived. It would be great to work with new folks or old familiar faces, so let me know what you would like!
